Active Reconnaissance

Active reconnaissance involves directly interacting with the target system or network to gather information. This can be sending out specially crafted packets and observering the target's response to gather specific information or directly accessing the target's available resources to gather more information. This direct interaction makes active reconnaissance more likely to be detected and potentially trigger security defenses, however, doing this can allow you to gather more information about the target.
