Setup Hashcat

  • Download Hashcat here:

  • Extract the compressed file.

  • Open up a terminal and navigate to the Hashcat folder

  • Run hashcat.exe

Run Hashcat

General Usage: hashcat -m [mode] [hashfile] [wordlist]

.\hashcat.exe -m 0 hashfile.txt /usr/share/wordlists/rockyou.txt

Run Hashcat on GPU

.\hashcat.exe -m 0 hashfile.txt /usr/share/wordlists/rockyou.txt -D 2
